Acc Adidas

Since the company’s inception in 1924, Adi Dassler’s brand has helped change the world of sport. From their humble beginnings to becoming a global success story, the three stripes has built decades of history through a variety of silhouettes and milestones.

Early success was seen with supplying footwear to National and Olympic teams, providing the shoes that Jessie Owen’s wore in his 4 gold-medal victories in the 1936 Olympics. In 1954, Dassler's designs contributed to West Germany's national team’s victory in the muddy 1954 World Cup Final with help from the shoes replaceable studs.

Classics such as the Stan Smith and the Superstar have remained staples in the skateboarding and music worlds, often seen on the feet of innovators in both sub-cultures. With 2011 seeing the return of the brands limited Consortium line, Adidas reminds us once again that well designed product will always be king.
