Born x Raised founders, Spanto and 2Tone, were faced with countless challenges growing up in Venice, California; but what bothered them the most was the gentrification of their beloved neighbourhood. As they saw new buildings go up, they felt the government’s push to turn Venice into another soulless suburban dreamland. Born x Raised is Spanto and 2Tone’s protest against Venice residents who were born and raised elsewhere.Â
