Each Nike Space Hippie 01 upper is eco-friendly as it is comprised of 90% recycled Space Waste Yarn materials (recycled plastic bottles, T-shirts and yarn scraps). The innovation doesn't stop there either, seeing how Nike's revolutionary ZoomX cushioning technology is reworked using recycled materials, resulting in a comfortable unit that uses roughly half the CO2e as most Nike foams. A Crater Foam midsole — made up of 15% recycled Nike Grind materials — delivers a unique speckled look, lasting traction and a record-breaking carbon footprint. Meanwhile, the Nike Space Hippie 01 receives a durable and sustainable Flywire lacing system, plus pull tabs throughout the upper allow for ease of access and removal.
